Community Outreach
St Paul’s Op Shop and Community Centre
Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays: 9:30AM to 2PM
(closed Sunday, Monday and public holidays)
The church hall at 1 Church Place, Port Adelaide, is home to the best Op-shop in the Port and it also serves well as our Community Centre. The big Op-shop has an entrance which is wheelchair and pram friendly. Come and check us out, our prices are the lowest in the area, thanks to our most generous donors and all our volunteer staff which keep our overheads low. For enquiries (please don’t ring to ask if we have a particular product or size), contact Christine Brown on 0468 338 955 or email wrphilp@gmail.com
Crafty Friends
Thursday: 9:30-12AM
This free morning group is especially for people who like to engage in craft activities with friends.
You could knit a square that can be made into a blanket for the needy (knitting needles and wool provided). For other craft activities please bring along your own resources and material.
Children of all ages are welcome but must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent at all times. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits are provided, or just bring along your own snacks for yourself and your children. For more information, or to join our little group, ring Christine Brown on 0468 338 955 or email wrphilp@gmail.com
Men’s Fellowship Group
Mondays: 7PM-9PM
Come along to our men’s group held at Dn. Wayne’s home. We sometimes do some Bible Study, or watch a movie, or more often than not, just chat about stuff that affects most blokes. It is a precious time for a young man or an old man, a bachelor or a husband, a son or a father (or a grandfather) – or all of these – or possibly as an opportunity to mentor to a younger Christian in this increasingly complex world. For more information, or to join our little group (and find out Wayne’s address), please ring Dn. Wayne on 0419 800 542 or email wrphilp@gmail.com
For a Women’s Fellowship Group also contact Dn. Wayne – maybe we can get one going.
Bible Study Fellowship Group
Wednesdays: 7PM-9PM
Come along to our Paish Hall (Op-shop) to learn more about the Bible and what Christians’ believe. There is usually a light supper provided and great people to chat with. Please bring along your own personal Bible (in your 1st language) and some food to share. The Bible Study usually follows the content and context of previous Sunday night’s teaching-series. If you would like any more detail, please contact Dn. Wayne on 0419 800 542, or wrphilp@gmail.com
